Wonder Twins power activate! Form of … two infographics!

With the relaunch today of our newly redesigned website, we’re bringing our Tuesday Twinfographics back, with a look at CEOs on social media and native advertising trends.

And while we’re on the subject of visuals, doesn’t our site looks so pretty now?

First up, from Go-Gulf.com, we learn that just 79% of Inc 500 CEOs and 30% of Fortune 500 CEOs have a presence on at least one social media network. Inc 500 CEOs fare much better, given that 81% of employees believe that CEOs who participate on social are “better equipped” to lead companies today, according to GoGulf’s research. And 82% of customers trust a company whose CEO is on social media more than those where the CEO is not.

Then, we looked at native advertising – that is, advertising that is part of the content. Or, in some cases, is the content. In other words, not banner ads or popups.

This Column Five infographic for Solve Media starts off with this quote from Howard Luck Gossage – from 1969:

Nobody reads advertising. People read what they want to read, and sometimes it’s an ad.

That’s exactly the type of advertising/branding that’s becoming all the rage. It’s sometimes called content marketing, but it’s more than that. And it’s far less disruptive to the flow than other types of advertising. And therefore gets better play.
